Spin Dyeing and Disc Dyeing FAQs

How long before my disc ships?

  • We typically complete spin dye orders and ship within 7-10 days from the date of your order. Feel free to text if you'd like any updates, 321-430-5649, or call our store 352-460-4056 (Wed-Sun).

What do I do if I am not happy with the disc?

  • We do our best to design discs that look great but we understand that sometimes a product just misses the mark. If you or the disc golf gift recipient is unhappy with your product, within 3 days of receiving the product please Contact us so we can figure out a solution together.

Do I need to do anything to the spin dyed disc when received?

  • After completion your disc has been washed and rinsed in alternating warm and cold water. We use dish soap to remove any residue left from the disc. Your disc is ready to throw and enjoy!
Will the disc dye my other discs if left in my bag?
  • We use a combination of dyes on our discs depending on the plastic material, manufacturer, and desired design. These dyes have are very powerful and have transferred dye. Again, we do take added steps to prepare your disc for shipment. We leave freshly dyed discs separate from our other discs for at least a week giving the dye more time to cure.
Do the discs lose coloring or fade over time?
  • Unfortunately, all disc dyes fade over time. Playing conditions (sun, water, dirt, etc.) can also fade the disc over time. We encourage you to get out and throw our spin dyed disc golf discs, the custom rims or stencils look beautiful in flight!
  • We would be happy to 'freshen' up your disc at anytime. Simply send your discs to us (postage not included) and we will return your discs upon completion.
How do I care for my disc?
  • We do not recommend scrubbing the dyed areas. We use our bare hands with dishwashing soap to remove any dirt or sediments from our discs. Harsh abrasives can affect the design.

DO NOT USE PAINT THINNER, ACETONE, ALCOHOL AS THESE AGENTS WILL AFFECT THE DESIGN, UNLESS THIS IS WHAT YOU DESIRE.

SUNSHINE SPIN DYES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DISC OR DESIGN IF YOU DO THIS.
